New Vacancy- Personal/Virtual Assistant (Part-Time)

Job Title: Personal/Virtual Assistant (Part-Time)
Location: Remote – ideally based in Glasgow or near the Cowal peninsula
Hours: 16 hours/week (4 hours/day, 4 days/week, this could potentially grow to more in the future)
Rate: £15/hour
Commitment: Ideally 2 years+

About Us:

We’re a husband and wife team running a successful artisanal business in Edinburgh, while also developing a venue and retreat space on our farm in Argyll. Our work spans creative, practical, and logistical projects, and our personal lives are closely tied to both.

We’re looking for an organised, reliable person to support us in staying on top of things – both in the business and as we develop the farm. The role is part-time, mostly remote, but we’d prefer someone near Glasgow or the Cowal peninsula for occasional in-person help.

About the Role:

The support you provide will be split between helping with the day-to-day of our established business and assisting with admin related to the farm and venue we’re building. Occasionally, tasks might overlap into our personal lives, as the lines between life and work are quite interconnected for us.

You’ll work closely with both of us:

  • I (Aglaja) handle creative development and overall direction.

  • James focuses more on logistics, finance, and operations.

We don’t expect you to take full responsibility for everything – the goal is to help us stay organised and share in getting things done. This role would suit someone interested in seeing how a small, creative business runs from the inside, and in being part of something that’s constantly growing and changing.

What You'll Help With:

  • Keeping our calendars and to-do lists organised and up to date

  • Light HR admin (tracking hours, holidays, etc.)

  • Supporting with Shopify and Etsy (orders, listings, customer messages)

  • Light website updates (we can train you on this)

  • Organising digital files (images, documents)

  • Ordering supplies, light VAT/financial admin support

  • Researching and gathering ideas for business or farm projects

  • Helping coordinate WWOOF volunteers on the farm

  • Occasional on-site support (photoshoots, events, etc.)

About You:

  • Organised, detail-oriented, and self-motivated

  • Comfortable working independently and figuring things out with us as we go

  • Open to a mix of business, farm, and occasional personal admin tasks

  • Based near Glasgow or the Cowal peninsula for occasional in-person tasks

  • Comfortable with tech (Google Drive, Shopify, etc. – or willing to learn)

  • Interested in how small creative businesses work, or in rural/venue projects

What We Offer:

  • £15/hour

  • A flexible, part-time role with room to grow

  • Insight into running a successful, creative small business and developing a venue

  • A varied and evolving role, working closely with both of us

To Apply:

Please send your CV and a short note about why this role interests you, and how you like to work to connections@ceotha.com

We’d love to hear from you.
